THE BUZZ - Phoenix House (December 2018)

Phoenix House is going really well, new residents have been welcomed and seem to be settling in well.

Phoenix House has been as busy as ever with lots of entertainment which the residents love. We had Elvis in the building, its been a while since he came to Phoenix House and the residents welcomed him back. We had Boccia back, quite a lot of interest so we will be inviting them back to entertain the residents. A nice little gathering after lunch in the ground floor lounge by the residents, all enjoying tea, cake and a natter. We have Charlotte here with her keep fit and games once a month. The children of Cranmore Infant School came to play games with the residents and children from Our Lady of the Wayside also came to sing Christmas carols for the residents.

We had a residents Christmas get together and a mock auction which raised £100 for The Residents Social Fund.

THE BUZZ - Trinity Apartments (December 2018)

At Trinity Apartments we work closely with our care provider Friendship Care and Housing to deliver a person centred service that meets the needs of all of our residents.

We have a number of social events to get everyone together, this not only makes living at Trinity Apartments exciting, this also helps us achieve our aim of reducing social isolation and brining the community together. Examples include working closely with a children's nursery Home from Home Childcare, children attending the nursery have made Friday mornings to Trinity Apartments part of their weekly routine. One of our residents, a former teacher, writes short stories full of adventure for the children. The children will leave Trinity Apartments filled with imagination which they share with their families.

Our residents make our community, they are at the heart of everything we do. We will always aim to listen to our residents to help shape our services and make Trinity Apartments a better place to live.
